Hi HANA Gurus,
I'm a bit faze on how to calculate the proper OS parameter of the below entries. Let say I'm going to install 1 HANA DB on server with Mem 128GB or 256GB. What would be the correct value for the entries.
Will appreciate for your thoughs. thanks
fs.aio-max-nr | Maximum number of asynchronous I/O requests | 0x20000 + <number of existing databases> * 0x10000 | /etc/sysctl.conf |
kernel.shmmax | Maximum shared memory segment size | 0x40000000 (1 GB) | /etc/sysctl.conf |
kernel.shmall | System-wide limit of total shared memory, in pages | shmmax / 4096 * (shmmni / 16) | /etc/sysctl.conf |
vm.max_map_count | Maximum number of Virtual Memory Areas (VMAs) that a process can own | 1000000 + (RAM in TB) * 100000000 | /etc/sysctl.conf |

The installer will set these for you. Do note that it's required to be a certified installer, to install HANA DB. Hope this helps.
