Can PI support synchronous content based routing?
For example
1) System A sends a synchronous request message to PI
2) PI receives the synchronous request message and route the request based on the content to System B or System C.
3) System B or System C response to PI and PI response back to System A
Yes, it can. Very ease to write standard Receiver Determination with XPath rules, and with some difficulties you can write Enhanced Receiver Determination which will determine receiver using Java program.
By default, in standard system Enhanced RD are asyncrhonous only.
