BPM error after PI 7.31 SP12 upgrade

We have a bpm scenario where we send a request to a web server and it sends a response message if successful request is sucessfuly processed (synchronous) or else sends us a fault message saying the server is busy at that time.

Now this scenario was working fine before the upgarde, however in the upgarded environment we get an error message:

SAP's response:

Thanks for XPI inspector traces. We have analyzed and found that
NPE(NullPointerException) is happening while converting the SOAP fault
into an Application fault. We have also gone through the
implementation part. It looks like the variable 'xer' is not properly
handled. Hence we are planning to fix it. So we will get back to you
with an update on this soon. Hope this is fine with you.

Will keep you all posted with SAP's response.

check out SXMB_ADM_BPE / automatic customizing and look there for any errors.
