I have a 300 GB RAM. How much should I set the extended memory of SAP?

1) Is 300 GB RAM configured on Single physical server ?
Yes
2) How many SAP instances are running on this server ?
One SAP Instance
3) How many databases are running on this server ?
One Oracle Database
4) Is it a virtual environment ?
Yes, currently it is virtual,
5) the OS /DB & SAP system version details?
The OS is IBM-AIX, Database is Oracle, SAP Netweaver 7.4
Hi Mohiuddin,
As per thumb rule you can go with following allocation 30% DB + 70% SAP application.
During installation take care of this allocation.
For SAP tuning,
You can initially start with following configuration
DIA = 40
BGD = 20
UPD = 2
UPD2 = 4
SPO = 3
Go with default SAP parameters at the initial stage. Later based on usage you can further fine tune the SAP application.
