Job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR failing in alternate hours

Hello All,

The job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR in solution manager 7.1 was running fine till last week but now it is failing. Every alternate job fails.

Checked logs and it states error message:

SQL error 1-:  Function sequence error

Checked system logs:

After the attempt to call a database operation, the database system has

returned the error code specified in the message, which indicates that

the operation concerned could not be executed successfully.

Can someone suggest and provide some input to correct this.

Hello Rajendra,

These job is running this the report RSCOLL00 only and every alternate job is failing.

I have executed this report manually and still it is throwing same error

SQL error 1 -: Function sequence error

check user authorization

put backup through orasid:dba if it is unix

Authorization is okay.

And it is MS SQL with windows.

Any other suggestion.

Did you check 1880067 - ST04 screen is missing some data and follow the above thread ?

Hello  Divyanshu,

Thanks for the SAP Note, restarting the SQL server helped and the problem is not reproducing anymore.

As stated in SAP note restarting is not the permanent solution, may be i need to update the DBSL patch level.

Check in DB13 and in sm37

Note 514908

1125713 - DBACockpit: Error due to unavailable remote connection

please manually run program RSCOLL00 once

The mentioned error will come due to memory resource bottleneck.

May be in specific time there is  huge  system load foreground/background , check may be lot of background jobs are running for that time.
