SAP PI Restart

Hello,

We are planning to restart the entire SAP PI system as it was not done for almost 3 years now.  Our hosting company will be taking care of that and we need to take care of the activities from the application side.  We are planning to do it on weekend at the time when there is almost no traffic or nomessages processing .   Can anyone please let me know if there is any checklist of activites that we need to do before and after restart in PI system? 

Example, for SAP ECC restart we will be stopping and restarting the background jobs.

Hi Vidya,

After PI restart checklist:

1. Check component montor.

2. Check IDOC adapter services if those are running correctly

3. Check communication channels in error and try to restart.

4. Do a complete cache refresh.

5. Check adapter engine queues.

6. Monitor the flows for at least each kind of scenario.

7. Check RFC connection IB/OB to PI.

Hi Viya,

Right now I don't remember any blog about this theme (in my mind i remember only checklists about upgrades or similar). You have the daily checklist , but it is not special for restart
