Hi,
whenever I click on END-TO-END, ALERT INBOX, ALERT CONFIGURATIN, that is asking user id and password and that s not accepting any used id and password. and that is giving error messages like below.
Logon failed
What has happened?
Call of URL http://solmgr:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/alertinbox/index.htm terminated due to error in logon data.
Note
Logon performed in system SOM .
Logon performed for client 000 and language EN.
What can I do?
Check the validity of your SSO ticket for this system.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.
Error Code: ICF-LE-http-c:000-l:E-T:21-C:3-U:5-P:5-L:7

First check the user Id have the following roles or not
SAP_XI_MONITOR_ABAP,
SAP_XI_MONITOR_J2EE
If not plz attach and

is it necessary to assing any roles for user accessing END-TO-END, ALERT INBOX, ALERT CONFIGUATION.

XISUPER, well then it is not a authorization issue for sure.

Check XIAPPLUSER is having this Role -SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER
May be wrong password for user XIISUSER
May be wrong password for user XIAFUSER
Also see the below ,
If the error is in XI Adapter, then your port entry should J2EE port 5<System no>
If the error is in Adapter Engine
then have a look into SAP note- 821026, Delete the Adapter Engine cache in transaction SXI_CACHE Goto --> Cache.

for this Check the Exchange Profile and transaction SU01, try to reset the password -Restart the J2EE Engine to activate changes in the Exchange Profile After doing this, you can restart the message
