ERP 6.0 component upgrade (NW + Fiori app)

Dear experts,

I’m trying to upgrade ERP system with Sum 1.0 SP11 Patch 2 & I’ve already updated tp, r3ta, r3trans, disp+work files in kernel.

Source System -> Target System (above red line everything is the same)

In execution phase I’ve got

sm37 is not helping much.

I’m not sure which is report name here, when I enter E/CTSPLUG/CTS_PLG_MSG or IMPND I’ve got “Program E/CTSPLUG/CTS_PLG_MSG does not exist” and when I enter job name RDDEXECL it returns “Object documentation reset.” in message box.

I found that also in SAPG-S4016INCTSPLGN.ER1  two programs does not exist

Hi

We had this same problem, strangely enough only on our ERP production system and not on dev/test, but implementing the Note 2057812 and then changing the "CALLTP_WindowsNT" RFC in SM59 to UNICODE did the trick  🙂

yes,Gert exactly I meet the same idea.

firstly, change the "CALLTP_WindowsNT" RFC in SM59 to UNICODE. and retry.

if it is not work, try to do full implement of not  2057812.

this might need system unlock from upgrade phase in order to make user logon:

     tp unlocksys <SID> pf=<pf dir>\DEFAULT.TPP

and also finish the SPAU and relase the TR in order to unlock the object during upgrading.

sorry I'm responding so late but from first i was on vacation, and since I needed to complete this update before I just skipped installation of SAPR740XPRA90000138 package, after that update completed without problems.

I can not try your suggestion now but thanks for idea maybe it will help someone else.

please understand that such workaround - skipping the installation of a package - is not supported by SAP Support.

The log you mentioned had warnings only, not errors. The real problem can be seen here:

You have to check the job RDDEXECL details in SM37 to find the work process it was run on; then you should go to ST11 and check the corresponding dev_w* file to find the root cause of this issue.

I'm posting this reply for the community to be aware that skipping errors during XPRAS - or any other upgrade phase - is not the solution.
