ITAB_STRUC_ACCESS_VIOLATION in tcode CJ20n

Dear Friends,

After upgrade the kernel version from 701 to 721, we are getting short dump error in transaction CJ20N when going for save the data. The program name is SAPLCNPB_M.

We have get the abap dump error message - ITAB_STRUC_ACCESS_VIOLATION.

Before kernel upgrade we did not get any above message.

Please suggest for solution

Hi Ajay,

If it is problem with only one tcode check with regenerating the program.

Else attach full abap dump and share the details under which step you get this dump.

System environment:-

   SAP-Release 701 SP 0013

   SAP kernel....... 721 Patch level. 201

   Database version. "OCI_102, 10.2.0.4.0, V3

   Operating system..... "HP-UX"

Release.............. "B.11.31"

We have run the tcode CJ20n and then open the project definition.

After open the project definition then go to EDIT - Status - Completely Technically -SET (Status was set)

Then when we try to saving we get the ABAP dump message.

Hi Ajay,

I believe there are issues with compatibility of kernel and how you have updated your kernel.

Read this as a start point and refer additional notes linked to this as per your OS and Release : 1716826 - Usage of the downward compatible kernel 721 (EXT)

Hello Divyanshu,

But we have upgraded the our kernel version before six month in our landscape and systems also working fine after kernel upgrade.

CJ20n - transaction are used very rarely for completed the project status. In march its was working.

Now user get the abap dump this time.

Please help for how to correct the issue

But only for this tcode CJ20N.

For 721 kernel latest patch is 300. Please try with this and check the results.

As per note 1295973 the solution is -

Use a work area "wa" whose type corresponds to the line type of the actual parameter.

But we did not get what we will do for above solution.

Shall I apply this snote on system?

Hello Deepak,

Right now the exiting version of kernel is 721 and patch level is 201 which is latest one.

I think other all transaction and programs are working fine on patch level 201 only one tocde have problem so only work on that

I got some notes from SCN and also tried to implemented on test system but the problem is till same.

Any idea for which is correct note to applying and close the issue
