Issue while doing TECO

Former Member

Hello X'perts,

We are a distribution business and facing an issue while trying to TECO a scheme.

In our scenario SUB-WBS are individual projects that are worked upon. This particular scheme has been created with sub-wbs e.g.

XXXXXXXX.1

XXXXXXXX.2

XXXXXXXX.3

XXXXXXXX.4

...

..

XXXXXXXX.9

Now for sub-wbs XXXXXXXX.9 no work took place hence no statuses were applied.

So now when the user tries to TECO XXXXXXXX.9, system prompts QA status error " Status should be QA80 or QA70 for entered WBS".

Please suggest how to resolve this issue.

Hi Mazal,

Two points:

1.Make sure that no any user status is restricting you to set TECO.Dealt with it accordingly.

2.Make sure no such validation is in place which restricts CRTD-> TECO directly.

Also, WBS has no work, cost, revenue, budget in it then in such case I would suggest to either close (CLSD) this WBS or set Deletion indicator (DLFG).

Let us know the issue in it.

Hi Saurabh,

Thanx for your revert, I have sorted the issue by placing an already TECOd wbs in the Customer enhancement tab, which made it possible for the said wbs to be tecod.

thanks X'prts.

Hi Mazal,

Can you please elaborate on QA70 or QA80 stautses? Are these User statuses? In your scenario is it mandatory for a WBS to have a  particular status before it can be TECOed? Also if possible can you put the error screen shot for more clarity and error message number what SAP is giving while TECOing the WBS.

Cheers

Hi Sammar,

These are mandatory statuses which come under In House Inspection process. Yes there are user statuses.

In your scenario is it mandatory for a WBS to have a  particular status before it can be TECOed? Yes, however for this particular scenario I am not sure. That's where I need guidance since we've encountered this issue for the first time.

Thanx in advance
