Hello all,
No data is displayed under Total in ST03. The background job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR is running fine every hour. SAPOSCOL is running as well. Can anyone please advise on this ?
SAP_BASIS - 702 - SP13
Thanks,

Hi Sandeep
Could you refer the SAP note compare the time zone
2006897 - How to compare timezone settings between OS and application server with report TZCUSTHELP
Regards
Sriram
Hello Sriram,
the easiest way to check if the time zone in the SAP system matches time zone on OS level is to check time stamp in "System --> Status". If the time zone settings do not match in SAP system and OS level you will see 2 lines here for "System time" and for "Time zone". "System time" comes from OS and "Time zone" comes from SAP system, and one should set the same time zone in the transaction STZAC in all clients (000 and productive clients) and on OS level.

Alwina
Hi Sandeep
We have solved the same issue in our new test system.
1. Could you share the SAP system version details? once again you can execute the same report TZCUSTHELP in working client (not on 000 client)
2. After that have you schedule the background job in working client(Not on client 000)
"SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR" execute once,
3. check the ST03
Regards
Sriram
Hello Sandeep,
this report should be started by the job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR according to the entries in table TCOLL. As I see in our systems it should be started every 3 hours and TCOLL looks like this:
If TCOLL in your system does contain these entries and you can execute SWNCTOTAL without problems, then you should find out, if SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR starts this report or not. Under
ST03 --> Collector and Performance DB --> Performance Monitor Collector --> Log
and then double click on an entry you see, which reports are started at each workload collector run. Do you see SWNCTOTAL under the started reports?
Regards,
Alwina
Hello Sandeep,
no, it will not be the correct way to start the report, in case of troubles it will not be supported. Could you please check all logs from today, since it should be executed only once per 3 hours you will not see it in each log. Please check in TCOLL at which hour it should be started and please check job log of SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR at this time if an error is reported for SWNCTOTAL. Could you please check also SM12 for client 000 if you see a lock for user DDIC?
Regards,
Alwina
Hello Sandeep,
could you please paste a screenshot about TCOLL, I would like to have a look, how SWNCTOTAL is scheduled?
Could you please check also workload collector log under ST03 --> Collector and Performance DB --> Workload Collector --> TOTAL collector --> Log, do you see any errors here? Please check also "Control" section in this path, is collection of the TOTAL data configured here?
Regards,
Alwina
For SWNCTOTAL change number to 1. In general you can check settings according to SAP Note 966309 - Content of table TCOLL in SAP_BASIS 700 - 7.02 and 7.31+.
Hello Sandeep,
for the month data - since which time the workload collector job is running? It will collect the data from its first run. And what are the retention times? Could you please check retention times according to KBA:
1843151 - ST03 Data Retention Time Settings
http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1843151
Regards,
Alwina
Hello Sandeep,
is the monthly data not collected at all or is the data available for last month? Since which time the workload collector job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR is running? If you do not have daily and weekly data for the last 3 month it will not be possible to calculate these data, these data is lost.
Regards,
Alwina
Hello Sandeep,
could you please attach a screenshot about retention times and could you please let me know the time stamps for the data for "This month"? Please open the workload overview for the "This month" data and what do you see in this sections for time stamps:
Had the system an issue with time zone settings in the past?
Regards,
Alwina
Hello Sandeep,
the data start on 07.08.2014, do you have job logs in SM37 for workload collector on this day, why it started collect monthly data only on 07.08.2014?
And I would like still to have a look at retention times for monthly data.
If you do not have daily and weekly data for the time before 07.08.2014 you will not be able to retrieve the monthly data anymore and you have to wait until September, if the monthly data will be collected for August and September.
Regards,
Alwina
Hello Sandeep,
something has changed on 07.08.2014 so that workload collector has started to collect data. The SAP kernel writes statistics into stat* files in DIR_DATA directory, these data are available for 48 hours, workload collector reads these files and aggregates data in ST03. So if you do not have any data in ST03 before 07.08.2014 these data is not available anymore in the system.
You have to keep an eye on ST03 now, if the data will be collected according to retention times starting from 07.08.2014.

Hello Dharmendra,
but operating system collector does not collect total workload data for ST03. This is done by the report SWNCTOTAL, which is scheduled in the table TCOLL and is started by the workload collector job SAP_COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFMONITOR. If only TOTAL statistics is missing, then very often this is because of huge amount of data and one should find memory dumps in ST22 for SWNCTOTAL report in this case.

Alwina

Hello Jithin,
The report RSSTAT83 isn't scheduled in the system and well I tried running it in SA38, but it threw a dump "LOGDB_SSCR_NOT_FOUND". Is it necessary to be scheduled ? In one of the systems with the same component level, the report isn't scheduled and the data is available in ST03.
Thanks,
Sandeep S
Hello Haseena,
The system is not popping up the message "No system load data available" in ST03 and the time zone seems to be fine.
Thanks,
Sandeep S
