Hi Experts
Going through different articles and trying to answer this question, We are delivering a project, where integration between SAP HCM, SF Recruitment and Onboarding is required.
SAP HCM <-> SF RCM -> SF Onboarding -> SF HCM
Process flow:
1- When a vacant position is created in SAP HCM, it triggers creation of requisition in SF HCM (Recruiting) via iFlows.
2- At this stage SF requisition has only position ID.
3- Once a candidate is moved to Offer accepted, creation of employee ID is triggered in SAP HCM from SF RCM.
4- Onboarding is initiated when candidate is moved to Onboading talent pipeline step in SF RCM
5- Once onboarding steps are completed, the newly captured information needs to go back to SAP HCM, like bank details etc.
Question:
How to move and which integration technology to use between SAP HCM and Onboarding? Is it;
a. SFTP?
b. What would be unique key in all the end to end process, could it be position ID?
Standard Integration:
I believe the standard integration between Onboarding and SF HCM isnt delivered yet by SAP
(Thanks to Luke for the link above, search Onboarding when link is opened)
Appreciate your help.
Thanks
Haroon
Hi Haroon,
The integration for Onboarding is flat-file. You can build integration as Onboarding has it's own API. There is documentation on SMP at http://help.sap.com/cloud4hr.
Key field could be employee ID or position ID if it's configured in Onboarding.
Best regards,
Luke
