Total Values Displayed at the Top of Bar & Stacked Bar Charts

I have a bar chart and a stacked bar chart that show values.  I would like to have both of them show values at the top of the bar showing their total.  Currently the regular bar chart shows the total but is in the middle of the bar, while the stacked chart only shows the subtotal per stack instead of a stack total.  How can I achieve getting the totals on the top outside of the bar and showing the stacked bar column total instead of each stacks total? Hi Piper ,

In Regular bar charts we can show values at end.

Right click on chart ->Format chart ->Data values ->Data Position : select out side from drop down.

To display Total in Stacked Bar , we need to some work around.

Create a variable "Total" with all key figures used in the chart.

Add that key figure to chart.

Format chart ->Measure Properties ->Select Total variable ->Select Region Type as "Lines"

We don't have option to display values at end for stacked chart.

Thanks for the reply; however, it looks like our version does not include Measure Properties to do this trick. Our current version is 4.0 sp6.

Do you know what version we need to support this functionality?

Hi Piper ,

Which version of BO you are using .This option is available in BI 4.X only.

If you using BOXI 3.1 ,try with stacked bar with line chart .

Procedure is same , create a variable that gives total of key figures and it for line .try to make line color as white and check.
