Service cannot be reached

Hi

Expert, I'm accessing a new system and getting the following error message as shown in the snapshot.

Service cannot be reached What has happened? URL call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

Note The termination occurred in system with error code 403 and for the reason Forbidden.

What can I do? Please select a valid URL. HTTP 403 - Forbidden Your SAP Internet Communication Framework Team

Actually, I have activated the following services according to PPM configuration guide.

Hi Yemi,

This error is related to SICF services activation. Have you activated the following services apart from the above ones?

/default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/rpm*

If not, activate and try again.

And also check whether all services are activated in /default_host/sap/public/PPM*

Hi Ravi,

I have services in /default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/rpm* activated right now as you told me to.  And I'm sure all services are activated in /default_host/sap/public/PPM*.  But the problem still exists. Do I have to reboot the system or is there anything more that need to activate?

Hi Yemi,

No need to restart the server.. Please confirm whether you have activated following services also..

/default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/INM*

/default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/rpm*

INM_workcenter_app SICF service is important for accessing project management in PPM.

Hi Yemi,

It's ok to activate all if it is test system, but not recommended in productive environment.

If you activate all services, then you will not be able to find out which services were missing from activation for application to work. These details will be required for production environment where you are not supposed to activate all services.

     i just solve this issue , this error is service activation , goto Tcode SICF and filter service name contain pattren TA , then activate link and service , it's work fine

      Add More information , Goto Tcode SMICM for check goto -->  HTTP-Plug in  --> Application Server --> Displat Data for  URL Prefix Table  if no data , Please load URL Prefix

     then Check Server chche if no data please check chche

Hello Everyone,

I am getting the same error in NWBC, when I am trying to use any of the options. Please advice which services I have to activate it.

Also,

/default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/INM*

and

/default_host/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/rpm*

the above services are not in the system. PFB the screenshot.

Hello Rachit,

Your screenshot shows that your issue is not occurring in Portfolio and Project Management (PPM. This means that the above services are not relevant to you.

For assistance with what needs to be done in your case, you should ask the question in the relevant SCN forum for your application.

Please check your system status. You have to install PPM component first.
