Hi,
It is not possible to launch a catalog in SAPGUI as it is a (generally) web based object.
So unfortunately your requirement cannot be met in the standard.

Jason

Hi,
Its not about launching the catalog on SAPGUI itself.
When we click Search for products and services on portal, system redirects control to catalog system web-based portal (Requisite, MDM, IBX etc), likewise I want to know whether it is possible to test/execute the catalog system's URL on SRMGUI (Search for products and services) so that it redirects control to catalog web-based portal?

Karthik
Hi Karthik,
The webservice for the catalog will be configured in the SRM GUI. You can take the URL configured in the webservice and paste it in the Internet Explorer and it should take you to the login page.
Please paste the URL in the following format:
URL?server=<server>&username=<username>&password=<password>&catalog=<catalog>&uilanguage=EN&datalanguage=EN
The parameters for the above will be available in the web service configuration. This will take you directly to the catalog. This can be one way of ensuring that the webservice is working fine.
Hope this helps
Cheers,
Yateesh
Hi,
If your intention is to ensure the catalog works, configure the same catalog in the test system and see if it works there. Suggesting this as catalog is independent of the ABAP system and therefore if it works from Q system it should work (90% ) from production system as well.
There is no option to test catalog connection from SAP GUI.

Vidya

Hi Yateesh,
Our client did not request for it. Just to make sure that catalog can be launched successfully by end user from portal in production environment as we do not get access to production portal.
In such circumstances, it would be better for SRM appln support if they could launch catalog from GUI.
Thanks

Karthik
