Dear

by seeing your log some may says you have made changes to oracle parameters you do one thing if you have backup of initSID.ora  just replace initSID.ora with existing one it will start

it may happen you made changes to shared_pool_size

Kindly look into this

Yes  you are correct , this is our test server. In this  I was reduce oraarch file system size and extended  other data file system size . that time owner was done root:root .

But  when  I am checking  via DB02 in this database 0.0 GB .

database

Name         DEFAULT                         Filling degree:

DB system:        ORA

Size:                 0.00 GB                Total size:                   0.00 GB

Free Size:         0.00 GB                Total free size:              0.00 GB

Used:               0 %                        Total used:                      0 %

Why its show 0.0 Gb

Hi Pooja,

ORA-16014: log 1 sequence# 1 not archived, no available destinations

Have you performed or changed any parameter under your database.Kindly share .If possible also share value for profile parameter

SQL> show parameter archive_dest ,

and if not set than define the log archive destination and also check for enough free space on the system.

Dear Team,

I was check that  oraarch directory owner was root:root.

drwxr-xr-x   2 oraprd     dba             96 Aug 16 08:05 mirrlogA

drwxr-xr-x   2 oraprd     dba             96 Aug 16 08:05 mirrlogB

drwxr-xr-x   3 root       root          1024 Aug 16 11:18 oraarch

drwxr-xr-x   3 oraprd     dba             96 Aug 16 08:05 oraflash

Then I was  change oraprd:dba  .

Now my Oracle and SAP is working  fine.

Your problem is either with the file system space or not properly mounted.

Are you able to create files under that file system ?

su - oraprd

touch /oracle/PRD/oraarch/test

If yes then stop the database and unmount and mount the file system.

Start the database.

Hi,

Error clearly says

ORA-19504: failed to create file ""

And permissions shows

drwxr-xr-x   3 root       root          1024 Aug 16 11:18 oraarch

Where only user root has access ro write a file in oraarch. It has resolved after changing the permissons to orasid:dba because you gave required access to orasid.

Nick Loy
