GRC Compatible with other SAP Systems

Hi experts,

I’m trying to understand the compatibility of GRC (BRM, EAM, etc.) with other SAP systems.  The question came after looking at some of the configuration from SRM since I see the GRC Plug-In component installed in the system but then I don’t see the actual plug-in on SPRO.  I was looking for similar information on the GRC installation guide and Config. Guide but so far no luck.  Can someone point me in the right direction? Even better if there is an official document.  Thanks

Hello Jonathan,

According to the installation guide of the latest release of GRC 10.1:

Install SAP solutions for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) 10.1

on a standalone system as opposed to installing them along with an SAP

Business Suite or with any SAP Business Suite components such as

ERP, SCM, CRM, OR SRM.

The cause of the problem is because the SRM/APO system IMG root node is
different from SAP Basis IMG root node. So for the customizing SPRO
to show up for GRC under SRM system, you'd have to check the node as
described in note 1591667.

Best Regards,

Fernando

Thanks for the info Fernando,

One last thing, so is it safe to assume that as long as we have a connector we can use all GRC AC modules?

Hello Jonathan,

The AC modules (Risk Analysis, CUP, BRM and Firefigher) are brought by GRCFND_A. You must have a connector to the plug-in systems which will have GRCPINW installed to interact with GRC box.

If you have GRC box properly set and an ECC with GRC plug-in installed, I can say that a connector will be the key to use the GRC modules.
