DEV System Copy - SE06

Hello everybody,

I have a question regarding the Post- Installation steps in System Copy.

Source System & Target System:

Windows Server

MSSQL

ECC5

The method to do is using the Database Backup and Restore method.

The aim is to test the upgrade on a DEV-like system. The SID is changed and the system has a new SID.

Everything looks fins, except I have some confusion in SE06 transaction in post-copy.

What shall, in this case, be done so that the requests are not reset?

Is there any way of copying the trans folder files?

After executing SE06 it sems everything is reset and there is no info regarding the request.

Looking forward to your guide and help.

Best regards

I don't believe they are reset, their status is set to release as you changed the SID as part of the refresh.  This is to avoid issues if you have linked trans dirs.

If you can have a lot of the open requests cleaned up before the refresh/copy; or inform everyone that they need to duplicate their work, and the version of the objects in your new system will eventually become the new primary for objects in the Production system.
