Not able to Unarchive Repository

Former Member

Hi All,

I am facing a strange problem this time too. Whenever I unarchive a repository in the console (server and client version 5.5.33.13), the MDM Server service stops in the middle, because of which the unarchiving operation gets aborted in between.

The repository is them marked as invalid.

This seems to happen everytime i archive a repository too. Other than that I am able to mount and create repositories.

What might be the probable cause?

Thanks

Swarna

hi Swarna,

I faced the same problem few time back..

Generaly restarting MDM server or MDM services might solve the problem...

However, in my case it got permanently solved when I installed oracle on Windows 2003 server by removing Window XP

Can you get someone to check the table space ? If space is inadequate - during unarchiving you may get this error. One more thing you can do is .. check how many repositories are currently unarchived - you can see this in the Console. Unmount all the unnecessary ones and then try unarchiving the one you want.
