Hi All,
Thanks for till date support......
Here is another issue very recently facing in the project.
Daily process chain is executed to load data from flatfile to APO DP system, data loaded...CVC's generated...and during initialization of Planning area job failed. Here is the reason for the failure "Version '000' locked by user xxxx, initilization terminated".
Solutions checked:
1. User not available in system checked in /nal08
2. No back ground jobs running with the user ID
3. unlocked all in /n/sapapo/om17
4. Performed consistancy checks for Planning area and MPOS.
5. Manually tried to initialize planning area in /n/sapapo/msdp_admin
Nothing worked out.
Kindly help me in solving the issue.
Thanking in advance!
Regards
SmithaN
Hi Satish & Mariano,
Thanks for your reply.....
This is the report suggested by SAP after raising SAP notes - SLCA_LCK_SYNCHOWNERS
Thank you.

Hi Smitha,
Did the Note work? If not, you can follow this and try.
As a check point, Before executing the batch jobs, you can execute the following function module
/SAPAPO/TS_DM_LOCK
Give the planning area and selection as 9AVERSION I EQ 000
and execute. Try to run the PA initialization and see if it works.
Pl Note after locking, you have to unlock also for which use /SAPAPO/TS_DM_UNLOCK and the same selections as above and execute.

Hello Smitha
Since you have already checked most of the things. Only thing which comes to my mind is to check SM12 lock entries. You may have some old/obsolete dead lock entries there. If you find any lock entries with Table Name : /SAPAPO/DM_PAREA_LOCK, then you can try deleting those entries.
Hope this will help.
Thank you

Hi SmithaN,
Check if there is a blocked CIF queue linked to your user.
Check also if your user is running in R/3 a RF connection to APO system.. check if he is doing something online or if he is running something on the background.
Thanks and Regards,
Mariano
