maintenance optimizer transaction dont see product version for a solution

Hi,

I am having a very difficult time in understanding the concept of solution manager product system,instance,solution. Now, in Technical Administration >> Solutions >> I click on a solution, in the solution the product column is missing. Then it appears after some configuration.

Now, when I create a maintenance optimizer transaction, I select the solution but I don't see the see product version, nothing appears.

Please guide

Hi Shashank,

If I am getting you correctly then you are not getting product version in drop down in a new MOPZ transaction ?

Use below steps:

Run Transaction Solman_Workcenter.

Select the Solution Manager Administration tab.

Click Solutions.

Either.

Create a new Solution to add the logical component, or add it to an existing solution.

If a new solution...

Click on New.

Give the solution a name.

Set the Solution Data settings.

Now the Solution exists.

Select an existing solution that you want the System to be placed (can be the new one).

Add the Logical Component to the Solution.

If the system is other than Type Production then...

Go to change edit mode.

Right click on the SID, and select “Put in Solution” the cell the SID is in will turn green.

Save.

Yeah, I don't see the "put in solution" option active. Please guide

Use the above process that I suggested if SP10 and above.

Else SMSY and edit would work.

Hi,

Open the MOPZ using 2 ways,

option 1. Using  LMDB system landscape

option 2. In solman_workcenter -> Change Management -> New Maintenance Transcation ( for new MOPZ)

Prerequisite:

  • User ID is maintained in AISUSER
  • Configured Technical System in SMSY.

Follow the below documnet for MOPZ step.

Not required to create the solution as show in documnet , directly select the production version and start the MOPZ as show the document, remaining step are same.

Hi karthik,

thanks for your time and suggestion.

I am using Solution manager 7.1 SP11.

it says "Transaction SOLMAN_WORKCENTER does not exist"

and am using the solman_admin user which is correctly maintained in AISUSER.

in SMSY, the technical system is configured and takes me to LMDB when I try to edit, and there it seems ok, atleast for me. or, I don't know what changes I need to make there.

Please suggest

Hi Shashank,

in the above screen go to maintenance transaction , it will  listed product version  assigned to the system. So directly create the MOPZ in  maintenance transaction .

if any product version missing,  assigned the same in product instance( which you posted in the second screen).
