Hi Raghu

The abap dump  DBIF_REPO_SQL_ERROR with its type "Resource Shortage"  refers to Kernel issue (with its DBSL patches)

Have you upgraded any new kernel ? or if not you may need to update kernel  !!!

There is similar  issue documented in SAP KBA 1897320 for ORACLE DB, it says about kernel issue and it may be possible to have a similar issue for MS SQL also !!!

Raghu,

Can you try updating the kernel on your system to the latest one as I see that it's not been updated/old version.

Hi Raghu,

Please note that such errors have their root cause on network layer not on database layer. The database connection fails as the network connection below fails. To solve the problem you need to

get in touch with your network team. Please ask your network team to check the network thoroughly. Please note that even if the connection isestablished within one host and doesn't cross any network, the TCP/IP

stack and network card will be used to send the packets. This means thatyou also have to check the local network hardware (NICs, ..).

Additionally please check #208632 and #392892.

Deva

Hi Raghu

1. Could you paste /attach the full dump?

2. Could you check the over all memory / buffer usage ?

3. if possible do the full restart and then check the same transaction

Hi Raghu

Thanks

1. At the time of Dump could you find any error message  in system log transaction code SM21?

2.  Have you restart the full system and then try same?

3 Could you share the SAP & OS / DB details

Could you refer the SAP Notes to check the network disconnection issue &
