Hello Experts,

Need your help , i would like to do system copy on my QAS System from PRD System Instead of client copy

Can you share any step by step document of System copy on ECC 6.04 On windows  server 2008 r2 + MS SQL Server 2008 db

as of now i have done Client copy but now my PRD System is getting more than 500 GB so that Client copy is getting long time due to Large RX RT Files

So i would like to do system copy on my QAS System could you please share your experience and Documented for the same

it will be every appreciate if you share same

Hi

You have to follow the SAP Homogeneous system copy method guide

Refer the scn link

1. Source system export by using SWPM

2. You can perform the backup the source sytem(Production system) and restore the same to your QAS

151603 - Copying an SQL Server database

3. start the import task by using the SWPM

1152240 - Setting Up Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (R2)

4. Posts installation task to change the system name to QAS

Hi Sriram,

Thanks for your reply , i think so your attached link is for Oracle DB System .

but am using SQL Server 2008 DB , Please let me know if you have any steps for my system environment

SAP          ECC 6.04

OS            Windows Server 2008 r2

DB            MS-SQL Server 2008
