Hi Samson,
Please check db2 is listening on port 5000 using the command
netstat -an | find 5000
If you find other service rather than db2 servicename then free up this port
Secondly check whether TCP/IP parameters are set correctly or not using db2 set all command
ensure following set
DB2COMM=TCPIP
svcename 50000
If not then set it using the command or modifying the windows envionment variable.
db2set DB2COMM=TCPIP
db2 update dbm cfg using svcename 50000
Also check in the /etc/drivers /services whether db2 tcp/ip port is mention as 5000
Finally ensure windows firewall is disabled to have these ports open.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Deepak Kori
Hi Samson,
Looks like the db2 tcp/ip ports are already being used by some other processes.
Please ensure these ports are free.
Refer to IBM link on tcp/ip parameters http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21164785

Deepak Kori
