DTS_FND component in solution amanger

Dear Team/Experts...

We have a (Mind boggling) situation here.

We have found this component DTS_FND in our solman system. No idea when and how it is/was installed and for what purpose. there is this note 1698206 that pertains to it. However sap has not released it. So we can't figure out what it is for...

Can someone please throw light on it ?

Secondly..... We go for SPS stack.... we create STACK. and bamm !!! that component is not selected..... Now when we go ahead in SUM...It asks whether what to do with that Component?....  Had we mentioned to keep it (well we do not have patches of it available on marketplace) there are no patches on marketplace. Had we mentioned to remove it; it asks for another component ST-PPM....

Has someone came across this kind of situation?  yes or not can somebody please help in this regard ???

Hi Arthur,

We faced the same issue while sp11 upgrade, so we raised the incident to SAP and they provided a required component through pilot note. we manually applied the component through saint and restart the SUM process freshly. it gone fine.
