HANA Host Failover Issue

Hi Team,

Recently we encountered an issue  host auto fail over  topic of HANA HA .

Fail-over didn't happen when the index server was in hung state due to memory usage , It was not crashed  nor responding ,

Can we make a configuration of Fail over to handle this scenario ?

May be like when SQL port is not responding perform a fail-over along with current check list.

I checked this link and got few details on the setup :

https://help.sap.com/hana_one/html/_m__l_a_n_d_s_c_a_p_e__h_o_s_t__c_o_n_f_i_g_u_r_a_t_i_o_n.html

Can  i get some guidance on this topic ?

Thanks,

Razal

Hey Mohammed

The host fail over is designed to quickly replace broken/unavailable nodes. If a node doesn't comply to certain SLAs (like query response time, session runtime, etc.) anymore, the host fail over cannot do anything about it.

Thank you Lars ,
Is there a possibility to Add new / custom scenario  ?
Scenario like : when SQL is port is not responding, Perform a fail over .

May this is a stupid question as these scenarios handled with in HANA by restarting index server on its own

Thanks,

Well you certainly could script your own solution there - but I don't see that being included in the SAP HANA product.
