Dispatcher problem

Hi guys,

I have an issue with an EHP7 System. This system was working fine but suddenly when I try to start the SAP system via SAPMMC the "dis+work.EXE" process state gets yellow:

disp+work.EXE            Dispatcher            Request handling without progress

Log information in the trace file:

SAP HA Trace: FindClusterResource: OpenCluster failed: 1753 [D:/depot/bas/741_REL/src/proj/sapha/sapwinha.cpp, line 214]

SAP HA Trace: SAP_HA_FindSAPInstance returns: SAP_HA_FAIL [D:/depot/bas/741_REL/src/proj/sapha/sapwinha.cpp, line 936]

Log information in the dev_disp log file:

Sat Aug 09 09:54:11 2014

DpUpdateStatusFile: state=YELLOW, reason=Server in state STARTING

Sat Aug 09 09:54:12 2014

DpUpdateStatusFile: state=YELLOW, reason=Request handling without progress

Any idea why the system is not starting anymore?

Thanks

Goluef

Check whether the database is running.

It does not seem to be running:

I have 4 entries in my task Manager under Services:

SAP DBTech-ECC(slow)                  MAXDB: ECC(slow)                  Stopped

SAP DBTech-ECC                          MAXDB: ECC                            Running

SAP DBTEch-.M790812(slow)         MAXDB: .M790812 (slow)            Stopped

SAP DBTEch-.M790812                 MAXDB: .M790812                      Stopped

Then stop every thing, start you maxDB and then SAP

Check for MaxDB log and data area space issues.

Hi,

I think you have an high availability setup.

Can you share more on this.

And upload dev_disp, dev_ms and dev_w0 log files

Also share OS DB and other setup details

and yes, your kernel level, as an update can resolve it.

Try to disable firewall - and try again.

Aslo, check your database logs, hope it's running and SAP/DB services are started in windows - services.msc
