Using portal logon tickets in Netweaver gateway service

Hi All,

How can we use portal logon tickets for authenticating an Gateway service.

For example, from a portal UI5 iview how can i access netweaver gateway service without providing user name and password in the Gateway URL.

Please let me know if any one has idea on this.

Rakesh,

I think that you need to see this as a generic SSO topic and not related to Gateway. Your Basis team should be able to do it. Here are the steps from a high level.

1. Configure your Portal server/Application server to issue SSO ticket upon authentication.

2. Configure the Gateway/ABAP server to trust the portal server and accept the SSO ticket.
