The instruction at referenced memory could not be read !!!!!

Hello All,

Can someone please advice on the disp+work.exe error?

I installed Netweaver 2004s ABAP Edition close to six months back and everything was working fine till a few weeks back.

When i click START APPLICATION SERVER

I get the following POP UP errors:-


The instruction at "0x43488c08" referenced memory at "0x43488c08". The memory could not be read. 

The instruction at "0x43562646" referenced memory at "0x43562646". The memory could not be read. 

The instruction at "0x435624d0" referenced memory at "0x435624d0". The memory could not be read. 

The instruction at "0x43567a055" referenced memory at "0x43567a055". The memory could not be read. 

The instruction at "0x4351249e" referenced memory at "0x4351249e". The memory could not be read. 

The instruction at "0x4355c194" referenced memory at "0x4355c194". The memory could not be read. 

The instruction at "0x4353437b" referenced memory at "0x4353437b". The memory could not be read. 


The instruction at "0x017cf903" referenced memory at "0x017cf903". The memory could not be read. 

The instruction at "0x017cf963" referenced memory at "0x017cf963". The memory could not be read.

Then disp+work.exe STOPS!!

I have UNINSTALLED and reinstalled multiple times, but i get the same error again and again.

Can someone please advice??

Computer Configuration:-

Windows XP home SP2

P4 2.4Ghz

2 x 512MB RAM

upgrade your kernel to latest one from SAPNET

did you increase you pagefile? or is it still at the much too small 1.5 GB size?

Yes, I increased it to 2048MB.

I am now planning to install 2004s sp11.

Can you please tell me how can i remove the partially installed 2004s (sp8 I think), so that i have a clean install of SP11?

2 GB is still too small especially for 2004s based products (if installing J2EE too, 2 GB is already too small for J2EE only).

Let Windows Manager the pagefilesize!

Peter,

It was working fine with 1.5GB(pagefile) for close to six months now, I'm not sure how it sudenly wants more Virtual Memory??
