I am new to solution manager environment and i am going to setup Data volume management in solution manager system can you people please help me to how to configure and steps involved in this...

Hello Karthik,

Tanks for the your information.

I have some  doubts...

1) if we have multiple manged systems in landscape we have to configure each system one by one, we can configure all systems at time.

2) Pleas breef idea on DVM, how it works, what is prerequisets for configure this like(any technecal monitoring configuration is required, SMD and host agent).

3) and we are also planing for End User Experiance monitoring configuration,

4) Custom code monitoring, and RBPD (reverse business process documentation).

We are usind solman 7.1 sp 7.

Please help on this.

Before start any configuration, please complete the

1. Initial configuration

2. Basic configuration

3. Managed system configuration

It this it will convert all the step ,

For DVM preparation, below step is executed in solman_setup

Activate BW Content

Update local DVM Content Mandatory   

Check Central Note Mandatory 

Schedule DVM Background Jobs

Adjust extractor setting

Better check the solman_setup wizard for details  and also check the below link
