IM34 and S_alr_87012810 transactions running for about 35-40 minutes

Hello,

Is there a way to reduce the transaction runtime for IM34 and S_alr_87012810? Both the transactions currently take about 35- 40 minutes. We would like to reduce that time.

In addition to above, I think the reason for it is that the output will come in ALV display. If you can change to get in list output then it will take relatively less time to give output.

From technical reasons also ALV has column limitation also in the output.

Hi,

I checked both these transactions and could not find anything else to play with other than the things in the selection criteria.

I would suggest you to get in touch with your Basis guys so that they can trace and find out why its taking so much time. Alternatively you can try to play around with the selection criteria options and check if it helps.

Thanks for the quick reply. I talked with basis and what they suggested was to have users run these transactions in background. I guess that could be the last resort. I was just wondering if there was any other way to reduce this time.
