SAP Sourcing usernames generation

Dear Experts,

I have a question regarding how user names are generated for suppliers. Is it possible to enforce a prefix like SU_ or some other mechanism for making sure that the external users (the suppliers) do not clash with internal user names.

There should not be a concern about external usernames clashing with internal user names if seperate user stores are configured for the buy and sell side directory configurations.  In the event both buy and sell side user stores use a single UME, then you may have a concern and you could always enforce a username prefix by using scripting.   The application checks the user store for the same username so there is no way to persist a conflicting user when the using a common user store.
