Response time high

Hi All,

Dialogue response time of solman is high, its configured with EWA , Charm and CCMS alerts.

Transaction codes like RZ20, solar01 are taking more time.

Please advice how to reduce the dialogue response time, its now around 5000ms.

you have to check it OS level which  are the process taking more and  CPU utilization more

like os process or database and one more thing which kernel you are using max you have to update the latest kernel version

How about CPU utilization and system load ?

Are you running of distributed environment ?

Did you check server nodes GC's for JAVA related performance issues.

No I am not using distributed environment, When I open RZ20 t-code its taking long time to open.

Which logs do you need related cpu utilization and system load, I have checked in ST06  it seems not abnormal.

Use top/topas or windows task manager to check CPU utilization.

Check ST03N and check swapping at OD level.

CPU utilization is 30-50%, Please advice the what are the steps to follow to reduce the dialogue response time

If RZ20 takes time to load a monitor, you need to check RFC connections and stopped agents as you might have used old CCMS agent.

For Solar tcodes, If you are getting high response times while reading documents from file system, check for bad sectors and network connectivity.

For rest, start with ST03N and analyse transaction profiles section.

Check for memory and buffer parameters and 8963 - Definition of SAP response time/processing time/CPU time

For GUI time - 578118 - Long response times on the SAP GUI

RFC connections  have more response time, how to reduce this?

You need to check with network team for the delays, if it's with RFC.

However, If you are using old agent using RFCs, I would suggest you to go for integrated agents.
