Connection type in Pi 7.4 for non-sap system

Hi experts,

Our PI system is upgraded from PI 7.10 to 7.4.For non-sap system, destination type TCP/IP was created in the old PI system.

However, there is no option to select the TCP/IP connection in the new version. Only the below options are availabe in NWA:

RFC

MDM

HTTP

What type of connection should be created in NWA for communication between SAP PI Single Stack and non-SAP system (eg. Java system).

Thanks,

Merina Acharya

Hi Merina,

When you go for a HTTP connection, you need to provide the URL.

Additionally, you can add SAP system data to connect to a SAP system.

You can also provide authentication, but that is optional.

Try to get a connection URL from the other party and try it.

Kind regards,

Dimitri

Hi Dimitra,

It is a non-SAP system and only has its Program ID.

PLease suggest how to connect to it in 7.4 single stack.

Thanks,

Merina

Hi Merina,

Experiment with type RFC. make sure your program ID is registered and the other system uses the same one.
