Hello Expert,
I am trying to run the sapinst of SWPM 1.0 Package but it is stuck with the below mentioned logs

No luck, Changed the host file as suggested by deepak and also niping -v is also showing the correct hostname.

result of the telnet is as below
Connecting To localhost...Could not open connection to the host, on port 21212: Connect failed
But does the ports need to be opened on local host as well? If yes then what to do to open this port. I am working on Windows 2008 server

As your Windows team to open this port.
If the port is not open on you local system, connects on this port won't work.
Go to Start => Programs => Administrative Tools => Windows Firewall with Advanced Security , Click on Inbound Rules , New Rule , Select Port , Click Next , Select whether the port is UDP or TCP , select Specified Local Ports and type the port number which you want to open , Click Next , Select Allow the connection option , Click Next , Click Next , Type the Name of the port and Click Finish .

As per the logs which you shared it is looking for host 127.0.0.1

Can you uncomment the same, take restart and check the results please.

@Divyanshu : how to determine if the port is busy. Port is not visible in netstat -a command
