Selection of the correct T-lane/MoT during Order creation

Experts,

Between 2 plants that we move semi-finished stocks, we've 2 ways of transport. Standard, preferred rail - 15days & trucking - 4days. We've t-lanes in APO with means of transport created as described above, for each t-lane. Does anyone know of a systematic control during Order creation/Planning run that can be put in to pick "Road" at one time & "Rail" the rest of the times?

We use the CTP process, so our orders are created in APO & come back with a confirmation date. Now, in certain cases, the business would like to truck the goods, but is constrained in the way SAP uses Rail as the default.

When can Truck be used by SAP in the example above?

Hi Andy,

This is business issue, Depending upon rail or road decision the TL master data needs to be chanced each time.i.e. priority of TL.
