Error in RZ20 : No administrator defined in approval BAdI

Hi All,

We are working on SRM 5.0 extended classic scenario.

I got the error in RZ20 like shown below under the starting conditions like

Object BUS2121 <shopping cart number>: No administrator defined in approval BAdI.

and also one more error under the other errors

Error during setting of status for contract <contract number> to 'Approved'

I tried in checking BBP_PD but did not find anything.

can you please let me know how and where to check to find the root cause for this error.

Hello Jay,

      This error occurs when there is an inconsistency with the WS ID means your workflow. What we do in this case is inform the user to edit the SC (if possible) else delete the SC and create a new SC without changing the Purchasing Group. or any change related to approval process. And then proceed.

If user doesn't want to create the new SC and then also they can proceed with the creating of the PO as well as GR/IR .There wont be any problem with the approval level in follow- on- Documents .

Hello Jay,

     If you have application monitor functionality on SRM PORTALthen you can directly delete the messages of RZ20.Or in backend you can directly go in RZ20 tcode and delete the messages there as well.

What is the status of shopping cart in BBP_PD? Are you planning for automatic approval of SC?

Hi Ganapathi,

we are using the Customize SAP bussiness workflow.

Where we need to check whether it is success.

And in BBP_PD the status of SC is awaiting approval.

We are not planning for automatic approval of SC.

Please find the screen shots of BBP_PD.

Hi Jay,

Your screen shot shows "Release Rejected", which is bit confusing.

Suspect some issue with BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI implementation. Are you using this BADI?
