Sales order Qty May be excess from Contract

Dear Expert

The requirement is , when we create contract of three lines item as

Line 1    of 150 QTY

Line 2    of 100 QTY

Line 3    of 250 QTY

Total Qty  500    qty

The total sales orders should not be Excess 500 but may be as

Line1 of 250 qty

Line2 of 150 qty

Line3 of 100 qty

if it is achieve by user exits then what will be status of line item behave in Contract

Please advice

Hi Sandeep,

The moment you create SO with reference to the contract, the items along with quantity are copied.

However you are free to change quantities. But in that case, system will delink the contract and the sales order. This means that the sales order is no more related to the contract.

If you also want to keep the reference, you can create SO with reference and add extra items for the additional quantities you need. Even if this case, if you reduce the item quantity for any item copied from the contract, the link is lost for that specific contract and sales order line item. This is the way SAP works.

Dear Siva

At the time contract Qty of all lines items is not cleared but confirmed as in totality, but Rate of all lines is clear

So total qty of Sales orders may be  not be excess of total qty of contract but a single line item may be excess in sales order for Example

                   Contract     Sales oreder    Diff                                                     Status

Line 1    of   150 QTY     250                 Line item is excess by 100 qty             What will be shown ?

Line 2    of      100 QTY       150                        Line item is excess   by 50  qty                     What will be shown  ?

Line 3    of       250 QTY      100                        Line item is short by     150 qty                     How will be completed ?

Total Qty       500 qty            500 qty                                total impact is 0

Hi,

Quantity's are always Line item specific as is prices also,based on these delivery dates will be determined.

once the order is released with respect to contract you decrease the qty but not increase.

what is the purpose of increasing the qty for few items and decreasing for other items
