Tracking Handling Unit inside Warehouse

Dear experts,

I have a question regarding tracking of Handling Unit inside a warehouse.

Is it possible to track a Handling Unit (HU) inside a warehouse based on the Handling Unit Number? The result should give the exact location of the Handling Unit i.e. Storage Type & Storage Bin.

This also include tracking HU in Interim Storage Types.

I know this is possible in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) but wanted to know if it is also available in regular Warehouse Management (WM)

Hi Dhiraj,

For an individual HU it is possible to track the detail. You can use the HUMO or HU03 enter the HU number and press F8. On the detail screen of HU you can use the Display SU option from the EXTRAS which will tell you the exact storage type / Storage bin where it is placed

Just a quick follow-up question - Can the above method of tracking is also applicable for Interim Storage Types e.g. Goods Receipt Area, GI area etc.?

Hi Dhiraj,

Goods Receipt and GI area are Non-SU managed area hence you will not get the detail of the SU there, Only HU detail is possible.
