Work center determination

Hi Experts,

Our warehouse is having different VAS activities.

say VAS A, VAS B, VAS C.

They always perform VAS A and VAS B in workcenter 1 and VAS C in workcenter 2.

Product X has VAS activities VAS A + VAS B in work center 1

Product Y has VAS activity VAS C in work center 2.

But for Product Z has VAS activities VAS A + VAS B + VAS C needs to be performed. In this case client needs to perform  all VAS activities in work center 1 only. Third VAS activity also needs to be performed in work center 1 only not in work center 2.

how to map this requirement?

means product base or customer base or some indicator base.

Hi Steve.

If you ave Customer + Product then its straight.

As complete VAS can be executed with packing specification and you can control activity accordingly.

Get the customer and mat combination with VAS activity then create packing spec group with a

PS Group 3>>VAS activities VAS A + VAS B in work center 1

PS Group 3>> VAS activity VAS C in work center 2.

PS Group 3>> VAS activities VAS A + VAS B + VAS C

and then create packing spec accordingly and maintain condition record and check system wil create only those step you want per mat with WC.

Do you mean to say three different PS group?

I am not still understanding how we can determine the work center in  third scenario?

What will be the packaging specification structure for this?

PS Group 1>>VAS activities VAS A + VAS B in work center 1

PS Group 2>> VAS activity VAS C in work center 2.

PS Group 3>> VAS activities VAS A + VAS B + VAS C  =       

two levels in one level call one vas step and wc and other u can call  last step and other wc)                          

                                   (VAS activities VAS A + VAS B in work center 1 +PS Group 2>> VAS activity VAS C in work center 2. )

Hello Steve,

I would suggest you to configure using LOSC + POSC Combination instead of POSC only. Hope, this should address your issue.

Hi Steve

In this case can you give manual VAS I mean Non POSC vas. so VAS order get trigger but WC will not determine and at the same time you can update WC as you want.

also dont update WC to step combination in customization so that it will be open to use in this case and system will not restrict to update.

Also when its non POSC you can delete step also if you do not need.

But If there is no work center determined in VAS order, how does system knows next destination bin after picking?

Hi Steve,

As per your requirement Vas A,B,C you can select and update.

as its non POSC and manual move you need to see where it has to send after picking.

As per your data you are not confirmed what process and when.
