Hi ,
I have recently changed SLD for Portal 7.0 system.
In content admin, even the SLD connection test is working fine.
Now there is a problem with Jc0 connections.
Only the SSO -Jco connection test is getting successful but the metadata Jco connection fails with the error"
why the username/password Jco only fails.
the backend system is exist in the new sld as technical system with all logon groups
I will appreciate your help
Thanks in advance
Hi Daniel,
the problem is that you can change the SLD but the JCo is hardcoded to the local SLD (I experienced it on 700 systems). Please maintain the system data in local SLD. And then recreate the webdynpro JCo.

Hi ,
Which system data should be maintained in local SLD?
Should I maintain the new SLD as technical system in the local SLD of portal system?
Note : today after routing the portal to the actual SLD system, Jco's got reflected correctly ..how it happened
Should I maintain the new SLD in the backend system(RZ70) as well for which the webdynpro jco's configured?
what other steps need to be folowed apart from maintaining new SLD in the SLD data supplier in VA.
Please clarify all the queries
Thanks in advance
Hi Daniel,
to enter the destinations for JCo go:
http://<server>:<port> (Startpage)
->webdynpro->Content Administration-> Maintain JCo-Destination
Maintain the following destinations:
BI_METADATA
BI_MODELDATA
WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST
WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST
WD_MODELDATA_DEST
But before this, switch back to local SLD and check if the data in SLD is ok for the local server (e.g. hostname or messageservice)
Best regards

Hi Daniel,
I think security method defined here is ticket based.
