Dear All,

Please let me know the steps to Create a Business Layer on top of OLAP Connection.

Source for OLAP connection is BICS .

The Same business layer act as a source for BO Explorer.

Thanks

HI

While accessing BW data using BICS Client connections in SAP Business Objects query, and reporting applications to connect directly to the BEx query.

No business layer or universe is required to access BEx queries. We can directly select the BEx query as a data source.

If you need universe as back-end as BW, then you need to select connection type as relational

connection.

Find the below link for more info.http://scn.sap.com/community/semantic-layer/blog/2014/04/14/sap-bw-is-an-olap-vs-relation-connection

Hi Sai,

Explorer doesn't support OLAP connection, Use relation connection to connect to BW infoproviders as a source for BO explorer.

No need to create Business layer for OLAP connections in IDT
