Identity Management Self service reset

Hi Everyone!

I had implemented an Identity Center 7.2 for internal training, linking both abap and java satellite systems and all works fine.

However after performing initial load and the creation of edit authentication questions task, users aren't able to connect ad https:\\hostname:port\idm to edit their authentication questions.

Have I missed some configuration step?

Cindy

Cindy,

By default IDM works on HTTP not HTTPS.  Have you implemented the SSPR per this document: ?

Hello Matt

it was a typing error, protocol is http.

I followed pdf mentioned in your post but users are still present just in IC database not into j2ee db. So they cannot logon at java side editing their answer.

Thank you

Ok, let me make sure that I understand your issue.

Your users are in IDM and cannot reset their passwords in UME.

There is no user account in UME that matches the IDM account?

Please ensure that the users are provisioned to UME first.  Also has the idm.anonymous role been created and enabled?

Hi Matt,

you're right!

My UME is not an ADS but it's another system with just abap stack with sid LPS; user coming from this system are able to logon onto idm user interface, but users (imported with initial load) from SMP system aren't able to perform the same operation (so just present into Identity center db and not into the ume).

Naturally the same thing apply for all others systems linked.

Idm.anonymous role has been created and enabled, I can confirm.

Bye!

Cindy,

For users to be able to logon to IDM, they must be in both IDM and UME.  If your UME is populated from another system, they users will need to be in that system as well.

Once this is set up you should be able to logon and set your Auth Q's.

Matt

Hi Cindy,

please check this:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/304280b4-25d0-2b10-b6a4-89c27409d...

As told by Matt, you have to provision IC users to UME.

Let me know,

kind&regards.
