Hi Expert,

We have a requirement where we require to reset the Password for SAPServiceSID. Is there a way we can do that?

What will be the impact on application? Where all we need to change the Password for proper functioning of application.

I would be grateful if someone provide the steps to chnage the SAPServiceSID password.

Thanks for your help in advance

Kind Regards,

Saurabh Gautam

Hi

You could change the password using Windows net user command

How to Change User Password at Command Prompt

net user user_name   new_password

You will then need to update the password defined in the SAP service option.

services.msc

That account is not used within the SAP system, it is the user that runs the service/process.

No changes are needed at DB level.

Ops$ is used to get the password from the DB, it is not affected by a password change for SAPServiceSID user.
