SUPBridge - ClientError

Hi,

we are using a android application, which is connected through an reverse proxy and SUP 2.2 SP 4 to an Netweaver MI. The connection runs into problems every single time we are trying to connect.

1. The registration is always succesfull.

2. After the registration process finished, the application connection went offline in SCC. Pending items are rasing...

Sometimes it works fine, but 45 out of 50 trials went wrong. Even after some time the device seems not to reconnect again, it stays offline.

Do you guys have any further idea what kind of problem this could be?

What we have seen is, that within the SUPBridge log an error occurs, everytime the device went offline: "ClientError is called."

As I'm not familiar with the job of the SUPBridge I'm also not sure if this is a good track.

Thanks in advance,

Christian

Do you experience the same problem if connect to the SUP server directly (for debugging purposes)?

Thanks,

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

regarding the SUPBridge Error. This seems to be a valid behaviour, if the client closes the connection, this log entry should be written.

Concerning the main connection problem - We are using T-Mobile 3G if we are using W-Lan or an VPN connection, which will route the connection straight into SUP, everything went fine...

Thanks, Christian

If you have a test environment, you may wish to consider eliminating the reverse proxy out of the picture by connecting your SUP server to the Hosted Relay Server.

Using SAP Hosted Relay Service for Testing

In this case, your device (over T-Mobile 3G) will be connecting to the Hosted Relay Server, and your SUP server will be connecting to the Hosted Relay Server.  Assuming the network where your SUP server is installed allows outbound connections on port 80 or 443, no new ports need to be opened either for this test.

Thanks,

Andrew.
