how to config. structure indicator for sap pm

Hi Exports, Can any body share how to config. the structure indicator of sap pm with shreen shot and explanation. Best Rajeev

It is according to the structure of your company.

1st level --  3 sections if my production line is broadly divided into say 1. Furnace 2. Stands, 3 Finishing

Hi Sir, Really its helpful but i have some doubt pls clarify 1. how to setting of Edit mask & Hierarchy level 2. Give an example for a company structure Because i got little confuse that i have seen like below NTPC    NTPC Structure indicator    NNNN-XXX-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Best Rajeev Rajeev

1st level - 3spaces from start and punch 1

2nd level - 3space from there(1) and punch 2

3rd level - 19spaces from there(2) and punch 3

It would be easy to understand for you, if you create a structure indicator (edit mask) and then create a F/Locn (IL01) in Dev Client 100 or 220.
