Hello Divyanshu,

I do not have access to connected system and want to know how to know the version from OS level only.

Secondly, I tried before posting with the url syntax that you provided  but that is not working. I then checked cs.conf and httpd.conf to know the port info. Found port 1093 mentioned in one of the file.

Tried url with 1093 but still not working.

Hi NK,

1090 is the standard port until you have changes during installation.

If this URL is not coming up, then might be your CS is not Up completely.

If the port number is 1093 then try this link. Make sure Apache/IIS is ruuning.

http://hostname or IP:1093/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo

Also check the ContentServer.ini file. This file is created with the version information.

Hi,

Location for required file would be C:\Program Files\SAP\Content Server

Hi Nitin,

Go and check access_log, this would show you the version of your CS.

OS is AIX.

On AIX check the cs.conf file present in the /home/sidcs/conf directory.

If that is not there then do a search for cs.conf across the server and see where it is.

The information should look like this :

; This is the configuration profile for the

; SAP HTTP Content Server/Content Server Cache on UNIX

; $Id: //bc/700-1_REL/src/ins/SAPINST/impl/tpls/ind/contentServer/6.40/unix/cs.conf#1 $

The 6.40 means the CS installed is 6.40 during the time of installation.

Thanks Reagan and I already found this information to check cs.conf for checking the version.

However, it is strange that if I download the media for 6.50 version then it also has cs.conf file which also read 6.40 inside it. Any idea?

Hi Nitin,

I checked and am 100% sure, also was verified on an OSS messgae by SAP last year, that you cannot check CS version and patch level from OS level.

No idea mate. Just install a fresh system and see what the installer does.

The like which I have provided you works and I am not sure why it doesn't work in your environment.

Good Luck

Hi Nitin,

I installed the fresh CS server with version 6.50 maxdb as 7.9 last week. i also tried to find the version fro OS and not found anything. in CS.conf file only mentioned as 'cs.conf file for 6.40 version installation' as you mentioned.

Thanks & Regards

I did a search last night on SMP and found that old incident raised for the same issue.

only option was to use csadmin or serverinfo.

I'm aware of CSADMIN but where is this serverinfo file in AIX?
