Go to the /usr/sap/BTP/DVEBMGS00/work directory and check the dev_tp and the RFC logs present there. Without these logs there is nothing much we can do.

Hi Amit kumar,

What is the domain controler of the Transport system?

Please check that the configuration of the transport domain system is distributed and then the tools of TSM must work

Try to do a R3trans -d

Please follow SAP doc Maintaining the Transport Directory - Transport Tools (BC-CTS-TLS) - SAP Library

and SAP Note 62739 point no 3.

Dear Gaurav,

What I have observed issue is only with RFC "calltp_Linux" which is working sometime and sometime its not working.

Even I am getting the issue with rfc ping which screen shot I have already shared with you.

Even I have compared with other system with the same parameter in profile its working fine.

Thanks,

Amit

Hi Amit,

Instead of above command try to run command tp connect <SID> pf=\usr\sap\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_SID.PFL  and share the result again.

Hi Amit,

You can analyze the above issue as follow.

1. Check the swapping on the os level. if it reaches 100% then your rfc will not work.

2. Check if any background job is running at the point of failure bcoz it may happen that swapping at os level is happening due to this.

So concentrate on the swapping and cause of it.

What I have to do to correct this .

Hi,

Its Linux. But right now I have checked the swap memory is free more then 9 GB but still  I am getting the error.

See, the log says "RfcRaiseErrorMessage cmd could not be started by OS (rc = 1)".

I think you need to check few things:

Number of TP running on OS level.

SWAP space, check with meminfo.

File system permission and perhaps, tp version.

Also, check ulimit -a for this user.

Hi,

I have checked ,

If I am doing the ps - ef | grep tp  there are many process running on the os level.

SWAP and memory space are still available to use.

Permission I have already checked its ok!

Increase ulimit for sidadm.

Kill orphaned TP process.

I hope this will solve your problem.

Hi Diuyanshu,

can you please help me in increase unlimit , because I don't have any idea about that.

Second thing If I kill the TP process will it will start  again?

Thanks,

Amit

Hi Amit,

Ask your OS team to increase hard limits for sidadm.

2nd. If those tp process are of no use, why r they still running ? Kill them. If there is any cron job triggering those process, check that.
