Steps for WS53100044

Hi

Can it possible to reduce steps for Finalize Processing ( Step type 7) required for workitem for PO Data and CC data and directly it should go with Approval for PO  Data and CC Data\ for WS53100044 with edit button in IMG node?

CR now follows below path

  1. After CR submission it goves for Approval with CR status: To be considered and approved
  2. After Approval it creates two workitems one for PO data and other with CC data and it goes for Finalize Processing with CR status: Dependant Data to be processed/Approved
  3. After Finalize Processing it goves to Approval for PO Data and CC Data.
  4. After both workitems approvals it creates Vendor in MDG and replicate into ECC.

Now I want as per below

  1. After CR submission  it should create two workitems one for PO data and other with CC data and it goes for Approval with Edit option with CR status: Dependant Data to be processed/Approved
  2. After both workitems approvals it creates Vendor in MDG and replicate into ECC.

Is this possible? If yes can we control in IMG only.

No, it is not. From some previous posts, those workflow templates are "hard-wired" meaning they have a specific logic that they will always follow. If you want to change the behavior, you can either copy this workflow template to a custom workflow template and modify it the way you like. The other better solution is to use the rule-based workflow template. That template is easily configurable. Please see this document for how to populate the different decision tables:

Thanks for confirmation Abdullah

Can it possible to rule based workflow to be used for parrell workitems (CC Data and PO Data) after CR sumbission without using any BADI, only through maintainance of decesion table?

Hi Sanjay,

To use the parallel processing feature for a rule based workflow we require an execution of BadI.

Hope it helps.

Hello,

As Prateek mentioned, to implement parallel processing in the rule-based workflow template, you will always need to implement the BAdI. Please see this document:
