Specs in Inspection lot

Hello experts,

While creating inspection lot in QA01 we are getting the following pop-up. This pop up we want to appear in QA32 screen at the time of result recording to user. Please confirm how this is possible.

Hi,

Julio and Craig sir have suggested you the solution. If you need this pop up during RR (in QA32), then go to material master QM view and set the indicator off for 'Auto Assignment' in the respective inspection type.

As a result, this setting wouldn't assign the inspection plan to inspection lot automatically and you would get it with CRTD status.

User would then need to assign plan to convert it into REL and to carry out result recording, which again, would be done in QA32 only.

Dear,

On QA01 the first user creating the inspection lot should just ignore/close the pop up screen. System will rise an information message "Specification(s) not yet assigned" and the inspection lot will stay with status CRTD at save.

The second user from QC dept should follow Craig's instruction by clicking on the "Inspection lot" change button on QA32. Then go to the "Insp. Specifications" tab and click on the "Task list/spect." button. The pop up screen for inspection plan selection will then appear.

Hello,

This is standard behaviour of SAP. when multiple inspection plan with same usage exists for single material.

Even i dnt understand what exactly your querry and what solution you want from us.

Hi,

This pop up is coming becuase you have created two inspection plan for one and usage.

I don't think it is possible for result recording.

Why you need this type of popup at the time of result recording?

Because QC dept select the spec against the material. QA01 is done by other person in store department and he don't understand about specs.

You can assgin your material with combination of vendor or customer in QP02 --> Header --> Material assignment.

It will select your inspection plan as per your requirement (like customer vise or vendor vise)

This we know but we can't do this because QA01 person identify customer code and vendor code as per SAP terminology while QC department has different coding to identify the customer and vendor codes.

Please do not bump up your post.  Especially when you only gave people a few hours to respond before doing so.

With regards to the question, The "Change inspection lot" is directly accessible from the QA32 screen.  It's a button on the menu bar. So your QC people should be able to easily access it.

I'm not sure what their issue would be.
